TRAVELING TO HAWAII

ALL TRAVELERS

A valid Driver's License or government issue ID is needed to complete proper model and photographer releases so please bring both.  

AMERICANS TRAVELERS

Your passport is not required though we recommend it as a secure form of ID.

INTERNATIONAL [NON US CITIZEN] TRAVELERS

A valid Passport IS required for International travel to Hawaii.
 
Your luggage and ALL personal belongings are subject to search during customs clearance. To reduce your chance of delays, PLEASE PLAN ACCORDINGLY. Familiarize yourself with US laws + protocols before your trip. 

TRANSPORTATION

Please use Uber, Lyft, or a taxi to get from the Honolulu Airport (HNL) to the house. We will provide all other transportation throughout the week. The house address will be sent to everyone via email.

Note: Passport and visa requirements are liable to change at short notice. Travelers are advised to check their entry requirements with their embassy or consulate.


MODEL INFORMATION

BE PREPARED! Make sure to pack the following items and make the proper preparations before your trip.

BRING:

  • 2 Forms of ID!  *Passport is NOT required for United States Citizens.

  • Wardrobe: Several Swimsuits, cover ups, resort wear and accessories including jewelry, sunglasses, hats, etc

  • Shoes: Several pairs of heels. (Black, Nude, etc... NO clear heels.) Comfortable water-appropriate shoes and athletic shoes for hiking and activities.

  • Nails: For Hands and Toes: NO loud color polishes or unnatural nail designs or lengths. Neutrals, nudes and blush tones only.

  • Body: All personal hygiene items (toothbrush, hairbrush, deodorant, tampons, etc.) Body oil for swimwear shoots. Sunblock. Avoid spray tan and unnatural tanning skin colors as they can peel and transfer.

  • Hair & Makeup Team will be available on site at affordable prices:

    • Prices may vary between teams

    • Make sure to schedule your appointments prior. Cash payment.

    • Please bring your own basic makeup in case you decide to do it yourself - foundation, lashes, hairspray, etc.

  • Packing: Bring enough for One Large Suit Case and one small carryon. Do Not Overpack!

LODGING. Be respectful of your roommate(s). You may be in a room with one other person. Respect their personal items, hygiene, and personal space.


PHOTOGRAPHER INFORMATION

Bring everything you need to capture you best images but only bring the necessary items. Do Not Overpack. Doing so will make it difficult to clear customs.

BRING:

    • Reflectors, Strobes, Light Modifiers, Triggers, Extension Cords, Empty sand bags (if necessary for your equipment).

    • Camera, Lenses, Flashes, Batteries, Chargers, etc... Please make sure to Label ALL of your equipment! Paradise Challenge is not responsible for lost, misplaced or damaged equipment.

    • Make sure to provide documentation for all your equipment. It may be subject for review by customs. 

  • Packing: Clothing for flights + days in Hawaii, Bathing suit(s), Hat, Sunglasses, Sunblock, etc. 

  • Shoes: Comfortable water-appropriate shoes and athletic shoes for hiking and activities.
